ANSWER: Reed Roofing started in early 2023, however we have brought together 3 teams our Master Thatchers with over 100 years of combined experience. We are a new and innovative Thatching company and have identified a niche in the UK market to provide a high quality service and short lead times.

2. QUESTION; What type of thatching materials do you use, where do you source them from, and why do you recommend them?

ANSWER: We always recommend water reed for our UK customers, and we source most of our material from the Danube Delta but we also have suppliers in UK.

ANSWER: yes, we have all the required insurance to cover any accidental damage to your property plus Public Liability Insurance.

6. QUESTION: What is your availability like? Period between placing an order and installation.

ANSWER: Our availability varies throughout the year but is normally no more than 6-8 months from order to installation.

7. QUESTION: Why is your lead time from order to installation so quick compared to other Thatchers?

ANSWER: We have 3 teams of Master Thatchers plus we always have a good inventory of material.

8. QUESTION: What is your payment schedule, what deposit do you require etc

ANSWER: We require no deposit and payment is made only when the installation is complete and our customer is 100% happy!

QUESTION: How long can you guarantee your quotation/price?

ANSWER: 12 months.

9. QUESTION: How does your pricing compare to other Master Thatchers?

ANSWER: Based on like for like quotations we have seen from other Master Thatchers, provided by our customers, we believe we are between 20-30% less expensive.

10. QUESTION: Do you offer any warranties or guarantees for your workmanship and materials?

ANSWER: Our standard warranty for workmanship and materials is 10 years.

11. QUESTION: What maintenance and upkeep do you recommend for my new thatched roof?

ANSWER: Regular maintenance is crucial for a thatched roof's longevity. Schedule annual inspections, or more frequently if required. Clear debris, such as leaves and branches, regularly to prevent moisture retention and decay. Check the ridge for watertightness, ensuring it is secure and free of gaps.
